# Trezor%%.io/Start - - The official wallet

1. **Visit the Website:**
   * Open your web browser and go to the Trezor website by entering "trezor.io/start" in the address bar.
2. **Connect Your Trezor Device:**
   * Plug your Trezor hardware wallet into a USB port on your computer. Ensure that you are using the original cable that came with the device.
3. **Install Trezor Bridge (if needed):**
   * Depending on your operating system, you may need to install Trezor Bridge. This software allows your Trezor device to communicate with your web browser securely. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Trezor Bridge if prompted.
4. **Access the Setup Page:**
   * Once your Trezor is connected and any necessary software is installed, you should be directed to the setup page on trezor.io/start. This page will guide you through the initial setup process.
5. **Create a New Wallet or Recover Existing Wallet:**
   * If you are setting up your Trezor for the first time, you will be prompted to create a new wallet. Follow the instructions to choose a PIN and generate a recovery seed.
   * If you are recovering an existing wallet, select the appropriate option and enter your recovery seed when prompted.
6. **Backup Your Recovery Seed:**

7. **Complete Setup:**

8. **Access Your Wallet:**
   * Once the setup is complete, you should be able to access your Trezor wallet and manage your cryptocurrency holdings securely.
